Methionine-R-sulfoxide reductase: (Random Families > RefOG042) - Methionine-S-sulfoxide reductase repairs methionine sulfoxides to methionines in proteins or free residues (Brot et al., 1981; Weissbach et al., 2002). The MSR enzymes are separated into MSR-A and MSR-B that reduce different epimeric forms of methionine sulphoxide. There is a mammalian MSR-B expansion (Kim and Gladyshev, 2004).
